Institutional Design for the Coffee Industry of El Salvador

Our work was to design a new institutional structure for El Salvador’s coffee industry. We included a diagnosis of the sector’s competitiveness and provided sustainable solutions from an institutional point of view in matters of planning, information systems, inter-institutional coordination, provision of agricultural extension services, research, and marketing in the coffee sector. We developed a proposal for institutional restructuring presented to the Minister of Agriculture, including a long-term vision that adjusts to the sector’s challenges.
