Our decade-long engagement with Colombia began in 2009 with a series of high-level strategy sessions involving the country’s political leadership. The goal was to craft a coherent national economic strategy that would position Colombia for sustainable and inclusive growth. Over the following ten years, our team provided targeted coaching and advisory support to strengthen institutional capacity at both national and regional levels. We supported the delivery of executive education programs for public and private sector leaders on cluster development and competitiveness in the University of Los Andes, helping to build a shared understanding of strategic priorities. Our work supported the creation of a new organizational structure dedicated to implementing competitiveness programs (Innpulsa) and provided the framework for Colombia’s annual national and regional competitiveness reports. In 2014, we also helped establish the Creating Shared Value Award with the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, recognizing innovative initiatives that contributed to both economic and social progress. This integrated approach not only advanced Colombia’s competitiveness agenda but also created stronger collaboration between government, business, and civil society.
