Reviewing and Refining Ireland’s Competitiveness Framework

Ireland– Competitiveness and Economic Development

Ireland

In 2015, at the initiative of the National Competitiveness Council (NCC), our team conducted an in-depth analysis of Ireland’s competitiveness. This work was personally initiated by the NCC’s leadership and aimed to review and refine the conceptual approach underpinning their advisory role to the national government. Through an assessment of competitiveness concepts, economic indicators, and emerging trends, we informed the NCC’s updated strategic framework. This strengthened Ireland’s ability to adapt its competitiveness policies to the realities of a rapidly changing global economy.
